Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 Arcade Dock Day 10 – IT’S FINISHED!!
The Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 Arcade Dock. Finally done! Yes, 10 days worth of work… I filmed every time I worked on this project. I started the project back in August and worked on it when the wife and kid were asleep or out of the apartment. Time between working would be spent planning, buying parts and stuff, or simply not working on it (ha!), which of course isn’t on film, but still very much a part of the project! Think thrice, measure twice, cut once! (I added that ‘think thrice’ part, but I doubt I’m the first one to come up with that corny line). I’ll just stop right here. I put up a webpage for this too: envador.com –Thanks for watching!

www.koenigs.dk Custom made Mame Arcade Cabinet. I made a homepage showing how to make your own MAME arcade cabinet. Enjoy making your own mame cabinet! It’s really alot of fun and I can recommed it to everyone. You can make it out of normal PC parts and wood. Feel free to use my drawings and artwork for your own project, find all the info you need on my homepage.

2 people are broke.
Why dont u put a usb stick in your hub with an autorun pointing to street fighter exe. That way it shoul autorun when you put the usb cable in.
That is beast.
There’s really no other way I can describe it.
where do you buy the ruber trim for the edge of the side panels?
Awesome Video, and nice cab but i dont think we did all grow up playing this game lol
ur thinkpad can run sf4?:S nice
u r a genius. Awesome work.
Sweet build!! Nice quality work with attention to detail.
fantastic! ive built a few cabs, but this is very clever! well done
Simply a superb job. Uncomplicated, strong, easy to use, very beautiful… I love it.
its cool but i rather do a big one and run mame
amazing, i love it. wish i could build something like this, props!
Nicely done BUT !!!!
Even better would be to have the laptop rested in a laptop dock so it could recharge while playing, and that would also enable the posibility of a better dedicated screen build in the arcade dock og maybe even a mini projector and also a small soundsystem.
But kudos for making such and awesome project…
Denmark out
!
Noice!
@JackSmithPokerSmith But Chun Li’s thighs are bigger than Ryu’s whole body…
Shame on you, fighting a little girl, and even then you got your ass whopped!!! lol
wow! Can you share the plans please?
MUST HAVE NOW!
Good Job!
Great job, this looks quality!! The only problem now is laptops’ battery times. If you’re able to plug the laptop to the wall while arcading it up, then this is epic!!
That.is.AWSOME!!
where can i get one of those !! haha
so. awesome.
Great Idea! Really great!
Nerd
What is the angle on the panel the joysticks and buttons are on? I have seem some perfectly flat some with a decreased angle not sure which is best and what that angle is.
Wow! This is bloody brilliant! I’d be proud to have one in my living room!
could anyone help me with mame and maximus?? i dont understand how to work them both haha i am new to this and i am having a lot of difficulties getting maximus to recognize mame :
Very nice. I made a bar-top arcade with MAME.
I’m about to start building my own cabinet I’ve been wondering, why trackball? Wouldn’t touchpad be much better or is it also for specific games that uses trackball?
It really is ridiculously easy to have an arcade machine. Well it was, now lumber costs a bit more. But get urself some sheets of plywood, (mid good stuff) Shape the box, and the rest is just slapping the pc in their and placing the audio. The board is a bit expensive but what ya gonna do. 2 player is the standard, 4 player is attainable but ur gonna pay a bit more cash.
Could build ur own but thats to much of a pain in the ass for me. I went with a hotrod board.
@PurePwnge991 t moulding
One day i will do this… ONE DAY!!! But for now i’m broke, lazy, and most importantly i don’t have room in my tiny room. And my mom would never want one of these in the living room haha
What Front-end did you use?
My dream bro! my dream
@Barnsies
yeahh… thanks
@PurePwnge991 T-Moulding?
Whats that Black Rubber Lining thngy down the edges! ?
Your video inspires me further in making my own cabinet. Buy one from a random seaside town isn’t really an option for me, as I wouldn’t know where to start here in Australia. It makes me happy to see it IS possible to make a decent-looking cab. Thanks for the upload!

I got a Killer Instinct cabinet at an arcade near my house (one of those theatre jobs) for $50.
Building a cab right now. No mame though, strictly Genesis, boots to kgen98 in dos.
@YoungDaddyTC27 shit thanks man less time wasted for me guess imma have to play some more metal slug 3
@S0LlDF0X there shouldn’t be. the first grand theft auto came out on pc. i remember playing it
that is really 1 nice mame cabinet. I have watched this over and over and it amazes me how high the quality of this is. I am thinking of buying some cheep wood and putting my 19in monitor in and an xarcade joystick with some newish (dual core windows 7 3gb ddr3 and integrated nvidia chipset) cheap compaq computer I bought and build my own mame cabinet. would never look this good though
Question for you video game pros.
Is there a game like “grand theft auto 1″ on mame?
@t1ngley Bar stool to go with it ftw?
bellom ma lo schermo è troppo piccolo
nice… but it looks to high-tech for something like a arcade… still a great job i must tell
@Dazsturbed Am in the middle for making a mini arcade cab for my room, sub to see a video soon.
